Pagrindinis Jungtinių Tautų būstinė yra Manhetene ir buvo pastatyta 1952 m. Be šio centro JT turi keletą regioninių būstinių visame pasaulyje (Ženevoje, Vienoje ir Nairobyje).
Jei norite aplankyti kompleksą, būtinai pasiimkite su jumis pasą, nes žemė, kurioje yra kompleksas, priklauso JT, todėl techniškai paliekate JAV teritoriją. Todėl prieš įeinant į kompleksą yra gana griežtos saugumo priemonės ir saugumo patikrinimai.
JT turai teikia informaciją ne tik apie patį kompleksą, bet ir apie visą Jungtinių Tautų istoriją ir tikslus. Yra specialūs vaikų turai, todėl nedvejodami aplankykite vietą su visa savo šeima.
Reguliarių kelionių metu galite (priklausomai nuo tvarkaraščio) susipažinti su oficialiais posėdžiais sesijoje arba (jei šiuo metu nėra posėdžių) svarbias patalpas, kuriose vyksta renginiai (pvz., Generalinės asamblėjos salė, Saugumo Tarybos rūmai ar Ekonominė ir Socialinės tarybos rūmai).

The tour dates are subject to change and not always available. You need to purchase the tour ticket online in advance and arrive one hour before the tours start to undergo a security check. You also need a valid government-issued photo ID.
For security reasons, children under 5 years of age are welcome to the UN but are not permitted on tour. For the Kids Tour (5-10 years) check the Visitor Center website.
First, go across the street from the UN to the Visitors Check-in Office at 801 First Avenue (Corner of 45th Street) before entering the UN.

Choosing a free tour you will not see any of the significant parts of the Headquarters.
