This high-altitude plateau, situated between 2100 and 2300 meters above sea level, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Established as a national park in 1969, the landscape consists of a combination of rolling montane grasslands and dense cloud forests. The area is noted for its rich biodiversity and numerous endemic species, including the sambar deer.
Prominent natural landmarks include World's End, a sheer precipice, and Baker's Falls, a scenic waterfall. The topography is defined by rolling hills, streams, and views of remote valleys. The park is maintained as a plastic-free environment.
A 9.5km hiking loop connects the primary natural attractions, traversing varied terrain including grasslands and forest sections. The site is open to the public for trekking and nature observation.
