The Basilica dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo is the main Roman Catholic parish church and a significant architectural landmark. Built in the Baroque style between 1769 and 1775, it occupies the site of earlier churches. In 2011, Pope Benedict XVI elevated the church to the status of minor basilica.
The building is renowned for its tall bell tower, or campanile, on Corso Italia. Standing as a symbol of the town, the tower is a prominent feature of the local skyline. The interior features notable frescoes by the painter Franz Anton Zeiller and artworks by local artists Giuseppe Ghedina and Gillarduzzi.
Dedicated to the Apostles Philip and James, the basilica also houses an organ installed in 1954. The church serves as the seat of the local deanery and is a primary example of 18th-century ecclesiastical architecture. It is open to the public and continues to function as a central place of worship.
