Schloss Nové Hrady

Built between 1774 and 1777, this Rococo chateau was designed by the architect Josef Jäger in the style of French summer residences. The construction utilized materials from a former Gothic castle located on the site. Often referred to as Bohemian Versailles or Little Schönbrunn, the complex underwent restoration in 1997 and has been open to the public since 2001.

The estate is surrounded by diverse green spaces, including a French garden, an ornamental park, and an English park featuring various sandstone statues. The grounds also encompass administrative buildings and a granary.

The interior houses a permanent exhibition of historical furniture. A unique museum of historical mopeds is also located within the complex. The site serves as a venue for wedding ceremonies and is accessible to the public.
