Designated as an ASEAN Heritage Park and an Important Bird Area, this site contains the largest natural lake in Brunei. The water features a unique dark color resulting from tannins found in decaying leaves. Situated within a protected tropical rainforest, the area serves as a sanctuary for a wide variety of wildlife and plant species.
The park functions as an important base for scientific research and is recognized for its rich biodiversity and extensive wetlands. Facilities and features include wooden bridges for traversing the area, as well as designated paths for trekking. The ecosystem supports nature photography and bird watching.
Established on November 29, 1984, the park offers opportunities for wildlife observation and nature exploration. Boat tours and river cruises provide access to the lake and surrounding waterways.
