Museo della Mille Miglia

The museum occupies the restored 11th-century Sant'Eufemia della Fonte monastery complex, a designated Cultural Heritage Site. Spanning 6,000 square meters, the facility preserves the history of the Mille Miglia, an endurance road race held between 1927 and 1957. It was established on November 10, 2004, following an initiative by the Automobile Club of Brescia and private collectors to honor the "Red Arrow" race.

Nine chronological sections detail different eras of the competition. Seven sections focus on the races from 1927 to 1957, while additional areas cover the period from 1958 to 1961 and the contemporary version of the event. The exhibits feature rare vintage cars, historical photographs, and memorabilia. Displayed vehicles are rotated periodically to facilitate their participation in various historic racing events.

Specialized exhibitions, such as the HEART OF THE RACE: Master Mechanics of the Mille Miglia, highlight the technical history and the contributions of mechanics to the competition's success. The site is open to the public and combines automotive technology with historical architecture, showcasing the evolution of racing within the monastery's original structures.
