Het themapark werd geopend voor het publiek op 12 september 2005. Het is een van de 11 Disneyparken die over de wereld zijn verspreid.
Het park is opgedeeld in verschillende delen. Er zijn Main Street USA, the Adventureland (met onder andere Tarzan’s Treehouse of the Festival of the Lion King Show). Als je liever klassieke princesattracties hebt, ga dan naar the Fantasyland (met the Sleeping Beauty Castle en Cinderella Carousel) of naar the Frozen Land.
Als je het meer hebt voor superhelden moet je zeker naar the Tomorrowland gaan (dat het Marvel gedeelte moet worden: de eerste attractie, Iron Man Experience is al open). Daarnaast zijn er the Toy Story Land, the Grizzly Gulch (met the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars) en the Mystic Point (which takes the visitors to the past).
Naast de individuele attracties kun je ook selfies nemen met je favoriete personages tijdens je wandeling door het park. Er zijn vele evenementen in het park dus neem zeker een kijkje op de officiële website voor je bezoek.
Je kan je tickets op voorhand online kopen om wachtrijen te vermijden.
