This 15th-century Inca fortress-temple is renowned for its massive dry stone walls and complex architectural precision. The structure features unique zigzag, terraced walls designed to represent the teeth of a puma, with some individual stone blocks weighing over 300 tons. The site includes significant structures such as the Muyucmarca tower and a network of underground tunnels known as chincanas.

Functioning as both a military fortress and a religious ceremonial center, the site offers insight into the engineering capabilities of the Inca Empire. It contains a large plaza that serves as the venue for the annual Inti Raymi festival.
