Two centuries ago, this oasis of peace and quiet used to be a botanical garden. Nowadays, it is a popular park, conveniently placed right in the middle of the Old Town.
Designed by Frederick Louis Sckell, the Old Botanical Garden first opened in 1814. It only served as a garden for the next hundred years though. In 1914, after the New Botanical Garden was built, the Old Garden was made into a park, which it has remained until today.
Daily: 9 am - 8 pm
