Zoo Brno

Established in 1953, this zoological park is situated on the slopes of Mniší hora. It participates in international conservation efforts and captive breeding programs for endangered species, such as the European Endangered Species Programme. The institution is a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) and focuses on species including the Sumatran tiger and Przewalski's horse.

The grounds house 2,200 animals representing 400 different species. Modern exhibits are designed to resemble natural habitats, notably the Beringia complex for polar bears and an African village featuring giraffes and lemurs. Other sections contain various exotic animals and tigers.

Events take place throughout the year, ranging from traditional favorites to new attractions. Support for the facility is possible through adoption, sponsorship, or volunteering. The site is open to the public and offers educational opportunities regarding animal conservation.
