This artificial lake is situated within a forested area and is fed by spring and meltwater. A trekking path encircles the entire body of water, allowing for a complete tour of the site. The landscape is characterized by its surrounding woods.

Facilities include a designated picnic area which houses a library called Librasción. While accessible in all seasons, the lake is particularly noted for accessibility during the spring and summer months. The forest trails provide a relaxing trekking experience.
