Se quiser viver a atmosfera da dinastia Joseon, este local é uma visita obrigatória para si. Fica perto do Palácio Gyeongbokgung e, durante a sua existência, foi um bairro popular entre a aristocracia (e os ricos em geral). O seu nome traduz-se por "aldeia do norte" e consiste em muitos hanoks, casas tradicionais coreanas.

Guided tours through the village run daily at 10 am and 2 pm (also at 3 pm on weekends) and need to be booked at least three days in advance (groups need to book five days in advance).
Tours are offered in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean language.
