Această cafenea a devenit un punct popular de întâlnire în perioada modernistă. În cele din urmă, a crescut pe cele mai proeminente figuri moderniste, cum ar fi Pablo Picasso. Alți patroni celebri includ Antoní Gaudi sau Ramon Casas.
Acesta este situat în renumita clădire modernistă Casa Marti. Proiectat de Josep Puig i Cadafalch în 1896, el prezintă și sculpturi de Eusebi Arnau.
