Established in 1945, this regional museum has occupied the prelature and abbey wing of a Benedictine monastery since 1980. The permanent exhibition, titled History of Broumov and the Broumov Region, is spread across six historical halls. The collections focus on local heritage and the natural history of the area, featuring traditional costumes, nativity scenes, and historical shooting targets.

Significant artistic displays include works from the Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque periods. In addition to the permanent displays, the museum serves as a cultural venue hosting seasonal exhibitions, such as (bez)CENNÍ SVĚDKOVÉ, along with lectures and educational programs. The facility is open to the public and functions as a primary center for documenting the region's historical development.
