Бёсдеалафоссур

Bøsdalafossur is a 30-meter high coastal waterfall where the water from Lake Sørvágsvatn (also known as Leitisvatn or Vatnið) plunges directly into the North Atlantic Ocean. It serves as the primary outlet for the lake water into the sea.

The area surrounding the waterfall includes the dramatic Trælanípa cliff and the Geituskorardrangur sea stack, which is visible from the edge of the falls. Historical ruins from buildings constructed by the British during World War II are also located in the vicinity.

Access to the waterfall is via a hiking route that provides views of the lake, rugged cliffs, and neighboring islands. The site is a notable natural landmark on the island of Vágar.
