Built between 1460 and 1480, this white stone church originally served as the center of a Catholic Bridgettine convent. It stands as the second-largest medieval stone church in Finland and is the only remaining building from the original monastery complex. A prominent baroque tower characterizes the structure's silhouette.
The building continues to serve the local congregation and functions as a summer church. Due to its historical significance and acoustics, it is frequently used as a concert venue. The church is recognized as a national monument and remains a central landmark of the local heritage.
