Obří důl

This U-shaped glacial valley was formed by Quaternary glaciers and is characterized by steep subalpine slopes and the Úpská jáma glacial cirque. The landscape features several waterfalls and is situated within the protected territory of the Krkonoše National Park (KRNAP).

The valley holds historical significance due to iron and copper mining activities that took place during the 19th century. Various historical sites and remnants of these operations are found here, including a former pumping station known as trkač.

A hiking trail facilitates access through the terrain, linking the valley floor with the Dom Śląski shelter. The area is open to the public for sightseeing and nature-focused activities.
