This hammam was established in the 1570s as part of the larger Ömeriye Mosque complex. The building is recognized as a significant architectural monument with historical origins dating back to the 14th century.
The site underwent a comprehensive restoration between 2002 and 2004. In 2006, these efforts were honored with a Europa Nostra award for the preservation of cultural heritage.
The facility continues to operate as a public bath and wellness spa, offering traditional hammam services. The historic space is also available for private gatherings, celebrations, and events.
