Church of Saint Maurice

Founded in the 13th century by Bishop Bruno of Schauenburg, this Gothic structure is characterized by its massive architecture and a presbytery flanked by two towers. The building's inception dates back to approximately 1300, and it exhibits both original Gothic and later Gothic Revival architectural styles.

The interior houses significant artistic elements, including a sculpture of the Pieta, various historical coats of arms, and Baroque decorative features. The building is open to the public and serves as a parish church and the seat of a collegiate chapter.

This Cultural Heritage Site is linked to the local archiepiscopal complex. The church remains a central landmark of the historical center, representing centuries of religious and architectural development.
