Santa Maria Beach

This two-kilometer long sandy beach stretches from the city center to Ponta do Sinó. It is recognized for its natural beauty and has been ranked as one of the top beaches in Africa.

The area is a hub for kitesurfing and is situated near major hospitality developments, such as the Hilton Cabo Verde Sal Resort. The beach is open to the public.

Every year in mid-September, the beach hosts the Festival da Praia de Santa Maria. This annual event is a prominent local celebration held directly on the sands.
