Tritons Fountain

Completed in 1709 by stone carver Václav Render, this Baroque fountain is part of a unique ensemble of six fountains recognized as a National Cultural Monument. The artwork draws significant inspiration from Bernini's fountain in Rome.

The two-level design features a central sculptural group of two life-sized seamen, or Atlantes, supporting a large shell. This shell carries a boy accompanied by water dogs and dolphins. The fountain is considered one of the most artistically significant historical monuments in the city.
