Хорш-Арз-эль-Раб

The forest is a UNESCO World Heritage site recognized since 1998 as one of the last remaining vestiges of the ancient cedar forests that once covered the region. This nature reserve serves as a significant natural and cultural landmark, preserving trees that have stood for millennia.

Some of the ancient cedars within the grove are estimated to be over three thousand years old. Historically, these forests spanned the mountain range, but the current site represents a protected remnant of that original landscape.
