Founded in 1228, this minor basilica and National Cultural Monument is a major spiritual center and pilgrimage site. Its history is deeply connected to the legacy of Saints Cyril and Methodius, who were missionaries to Great Moravia. The site serves as a focal point for Cyril-Methodian celebrations and is part of a larger monastery complex.
The building features Romanesque architecture and was worked on by the architect Giovanni Pietro Tencalla. It functions as an active parish church with a regular liturgical program and bohoslužby (services).
