The museum consists of approximately thirty folk buildings, including cottages, cabins, timbered houses, and farm structures representing the lifestyle and farming methods of small farmers from the 18th to the mid-20th century. The site is part of the National Museum in Nature and preserves traditional folk architecture and rural life from the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands and the Železné hory region.
A collection of water-driven technical structures is located on the site, including an oil plant and tanning equipment. Preserved interiors within the homesteads display traditional crafts, historical furnishings, and rural customs.
The museum is open to the public and hosts seasonal cultural events. Wi-fi is available for use on the grounds.
