This historic industrial building complex was established in 1818 when the Schoeller family from Düren, Germany, purchased the Hopf und Bräunlich wool factory. It functioned as a branch of the family's extensive European textile enterprise. The site is characterized by its combination of manufacturing facilities and a private family residence within a single integrated complex.

Following World War II, the property was confiscated by the state and transitioned from its original textile operations to other uses. The complex stands as a significant example of industrial heritage and the legacy of international textile entrepreneurs.
