Исторический центр города Тельч

This UNESCO World Heritage Site, inscribed in 1992, is recognized for its exceptionally well-preserved Renaissance, Gothic, and Baroque architecture. The historic core, known as Vnitřní Město, is designed around a long, triangular market square that illustrates historical urban planning from the 16th and 17th centuries.

The square is lined with colorful burgher houses featuring architectural arcades. These historic townhouses contribute to the site's cohesive character. The area also includes a prominent Renaissance château and is surrounded by a network of peaceful ponds.

The architectural ensemble represents a well-preserved example of a medieval urban area transformed by Renaissance and Baroque influences. The historic center maintains its integrity through the combination of its central square, the château, and the surrounding system of ponds.
