Smetana Birth House

This branch of the Regional Museum is situated within the former castle brewery complex. It is the site of the 1824 birth of Bedřich Smetana, a renowned Czech composer. The museum space consists of the original apartment where the Smetana family lived during his early years and is open to the public.

The permanent exhibition highlights Smetana's childhood and family life through a collection of personal belongings dating back to that period. Displays are supplemented by musical excerpts from his compositions, providing a deeper context to his artistic development and heritage.
