Established in 1957, this Catholic cathedral serves as the seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese. It is a significant religious landmark that hosts community events and has accommodated international humanitarian missions. A memorial calvary on the grounds commemorates the first cross planted in the region by Spanish explorers in 1565.
