Augustinian Monastery

The monastery was founded in 1367 by the House of Rosenberg (also known as the Lords of Rosenberg), a prominent noble family. It served as a significant religious and cultural center for the region. The site is officially recognized as a national cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

The architectural complex showcases a transition from Gothic to Baroque styles. While the original structure dates back to the 14th century, the site features a well-preserved Gothic church and a cloister containing notable frescoes from the early 15th century. Later additions include Baroque buildings constructed around 1750.

The historical site is open for exploration, showcasing its rich architectural history spanning several centuries. Key features include the original Gothic elements and the extensive decorative work within the cloister area.
