Old Dutch Hospital

Constructed in 1681 during the Dutch colonial period, this structure is one of the oldest buildings in the area. Originally built to serve as a hospital, the site has undergone various uses over the centuries before being refurbished as part of a post-war development project.

The building is a protected heritage site and monument. It currently functions as a shopping and dining precinct, housing several establishments such as the Ministry of Crab restaurant. The colonial heritage building preserves its historical character while serving as a modern commercial space.
