Abdullah bin Jassim Palace

Constructed in 1906, this historic landmark served as the residence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani during the early 20th century. The site reflects the political and architectural evolution of Qatar during that era.

In 1975, the former residence was converted into the National Museum of Qatar. It remains a central component of the museum complex today, having undergone several restorations to preserve its heritage.

The palace is recognized for its role in promoting art and national cultural identity. Its historical significance is further highlighted by its depiction on the QAR 200 banknote.
