Built in 1706 to protect the harbor from potential French invasions, this 18th-century colonial fort stands on a headland. The site is open to the public and contains historic cannons, a powder magazine, and wall foundations. Panoramic views of the harbor and the Caribbean Sea are visible from the promontory.
The area is slated for a comprehensive redevelopment and enhancement project approved by the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda.
