Built between 1937 and 1938, this partially constructed Czechoslovak artillery fortress was a key component of the pre-WWII defense line. It represents one of the largest modern military complexes of its kind in Europe.
The site consists of a massive surface bunker, the completed T-S 73 blockhouse, and a vast underground network. These corridors and barracks are situated at a depth of 52 meters below the surface. The premises also include various other military fortifications and the Eliška lookout tower.
A military history museum operates on the grounds, featuring exhibitions dedicated to the Czechoslovak fortification system. The fortress is open to the public, allowing for the exploration of both the historical surface structures and the deep underground corridors.
