The structure was constructed between 1895 and 1902 in neo-romanesque style with gothic revival elements, designed by the architect Frigyes Schulek. It serves as a lookout terrace with towers and a chapel, offering extensive views of the Danube River, the Parliament building, Margaret Island, and Gellért Hill. As part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it holds historical and architectural significance within the Buda Castle District.
