This medieval fortress is situated on a 420-meter high rocky hill. While its origins date back to the 4th century BC, the current structure primarily dates from the 6th century. It features a distinct triangular shape with two observation towers.
Historically, the site functioned as part of the signaling and defense system for Krujë Castle. During the era of Skanderbeg (an Albanian military commander), communication between these fortifications was conducted via fires.
The castle is open to the public and houses a restaurant specializing in traditional cuisine. From its elevated position, the site provides panoramic views of the Erzen valley.
