Údolie Ourika

The Ourika Valley is located in the foothills of the High Atlas mountains. The landscape is defined by the Ourika River, which descends from the peaks to support lush walnut groves and terraced fields. This area is recognized as a Cultural Heritage Site and serves as a significant ecological zone, providing the sole habitat for the endangered Barbary macaque within the High Atlas range.

Traditional Berber culture is preserved throughout the valley's various villages. The region is characterized by its agricultural practices and historic settlements nestled into the mountainside. The valley is a frequent destination for day trips and nature exploration.

The village of Setti Fatma is a central point for hiking, particularly for trails leading to a series of waterfalls. The terrain accommodates mountain hiking, trekking, and canoeing, with various sites suitable for camping in natural surroundings.
