This High Baroque church was constructed between 1732 and 1736 based on the designs of architect Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer. Recognized as a National Cultural Monument, the building is characterized by a distinct oval floor plan and a star-shaped dome. It serves as a central Roman Catholic parish church and a significant religious landmark for the region.
The interior contains a rich collection of 18th-century furnishings. Below the main structure lies an extensive underground area featuring the foundations of an original 14th-century Gothic church. This space includes a unique burial crypt and a chapel containing skeletal remains relocated from a former cemetery.
Additional underground highlights include a Tomb of God and collections of mineral water sediments typical of the local geological environment. Tours of these subterranean spaces are available to the public, providing insight into the historical and architectural layers of the site.
