This magnificent 18th-century park is simply impossible to miss, as it located in the very heart of the city.
The city park, formerly called the Városliget, was the first public park in the world when it first opened in the 19th century. Its popularity grew rapidly after the Millenium celebrations in 1896, since it served as the celebration's main venue.
Today, it serves as a favourite resting spot for the locals, as well as the tourists, who usually come to see it through the Heroes' Square - its famous entrance.
