Om du vill uppleva atmosfären i Joseon-dynastin är denna plats ett måste för dig. Det ligger nära Gyeongbokgung-palatset och under hela dess existens var det en stadsdel populär bland aristokratin (och rika människor i allmänhet). Namnet översätts som ”norra byn” och består av många hanoks, traditionella koreanska hus.
Det finns många olika attraktioner i området som du kan besöka (t.ex. Unhyeongung - palatset, museet för koreansk buddhistisk konst eller Han Sangsoo broderiordverkstad). För bättre navigering bör du överväga att få en användbar karta i informationscentret.
Eftersom komplexet är ganska stort måste du spara tillräckligt med tid för besöket.
Guided tours through the village run daily at 10 am and 2 pm (also at 3 pm on weekends) and need to be booked at least three days in advance (groups need to book five days in advance).
Tours are offered in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean language.
