วังสมัยศตวรรษที่ 13 นี้เป็นอาคารสาธารณะที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดในฟลอเรนซ์ มันเปิดเป็นพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติในปี 1865 หลังจากที่มันถูกใช้เป็นค่ายทหารคุกและในที่สุดก็เป็นที่อยู่อาศัยของ Bargello หัวหน้าตำรวจ
