Opened in 1975, the museum displays a vast collection of fossils personally gathered and catalogued by local researcher Rinaldo Zardini. The exhibits illustrate the geological evolution of the region and the ancient tropical seas that once covered the territory. The museum is open to the public.
The collection contains more than 20,000 specimens, primarily focusing on the Triassic period. Notable items include marine invertebrates, corals, sponges, and rare Triassic amber. The display also features Megalodon bivalves and various botanical fossils, many of which are preserved in limestone silt.
