This vast system of underground corridors and cellars was originally established by townspeople in the 14th century for storage and production purposes. Spanning approximately 25 kilometers and covering an area of 50,000 m², it represents the legacy of medieval silver miners and stands as the second-largest underground network in the country. The site is currently managed by the Georgii Agricola association.
Three distinct tour circuits allow for exploration of the subterranean complex. The historical underground section includes medieval tunnels and a technical curiosity known as the glowing corridor. Other areas feature a civil defense shelter dating from the 1970s and World War II, as well as a network of technical utility tunnels (kolektory) and a historic sewage system.
Guided tours provide access to the labyrinth of historic cellars and tunnels. The site functions as a significant historical and technical monument, showcasing infrastructure from the Middle Ages through the 20th century.
