This public library, designed by architects Jörgen Michelsen and E Andersson, is the largest in the city and functions as a hub for information and culture within the Bibliotek Familjen Helsingborg network. The facility is currently undergoing a significant renovation and expansion project, with construction scheduled from summer 2026 until the end of 2028. This work impacts accessibility and local traffic in the surrounding area.
The library provides access to books, e-books, films, music, and video games. Resources for genealogical research are available, and the building includes Café Birger, which hosts various cultural events and author visits.
