This archaeological complex consists of a reconstructed prehistoric pile-dwelling settlement dating back to the Late Bronze and Early Iron Age. Known as the Museum on Water, the site features stilt houses built over the lake, showcasing prehistoric life through reconstructed dwellings and underwater archaeological findings.
Adjacent to the prehistoric settlement is a conserved Roman castrum, representing a different historical period of the site's occupation. The facility functions as an open-air museum and serves as a center for underwater tourism, providing access to submerged archaeological remains.
The site is designated as a Cultural Heritage Site and is managed by an institution dedicated to the protection, conservation, and presentation of immovable cultural heritage. It houses collections and documentation of movable heritage discovered during excavations.
