Dating back to 1550, this site is the oldest Jewish place of worship in the region. It is recognized as the last surviving temple of the Polish or Lviv type in the Czech Republic. The building is notable for its Baroque architecture and intricate interior decoration.

Managed by the Regional Museum in Mikulov, the building functions as a museum and exhibition space dedicated to local Jewish heritage. It forms a key part of the local Jewish quarter, which also includes the Rabbinical House and a significant Jewish cemetery.

As a designated Cultural Heritage Site, the building is used for various cultural purposes. It remains a significant example of historical religious architecture within the country.
