The site consists of monumental sandstone rock sculptures created between 1841 and 1846 by Václav Levý, a significant Czech sculptor. These large reliefs, carved directly into natural sandstone blocks, represent two giant heads and are recognized as the second largest carved heads worldwide, surpassed only by Mount Rushmore.
In addition to the sculptures, the area includes artificial caves and other rock formations that illustrate both natural geological processes and human artistic intervention. The reliefs are freely accessible and hold cultural heritage status, combining geological, historical, and artistic value within a natural outdoor setting.
