Mercury’s Fountain

Created in 1727 by sculptor Filip Sattler and master mason Václav Render, this Baroque monument is constructed entirely from sandstone. It features a central statue of the Roman god Mercury, who is depicted holding a caduceus. The site is accessible to the public.

As a designated Cultural Heritage Site, the fountain is considered the most artistically and technically sophisticated of the six historic Baroque fountains in the area. It represents a significant achievement in 18th-century public artwork and engineering.
