Mauritius Mine

This historic tin mine operated between 1545 and 1944. Designated as a national cultural monument, it represents a significant site within the Montanregion Erzgebirge UNESCO World Heritage area. A portion of the complex has been accessible to the public since 2014.

The site includes the Štola Kryštof, which contains a 400-meter tour route. This underground section features hand-hewn tunnels, a massive chamber, and displays of historical mining techniques. The experience is supplemented by period-style miner mannequins and an audiovisual projection.
