This well-preserved and restored section of the Ming Dynasty fortification system was the first part of the wall opened to the public. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it serves as an essential outpost of the Juyong Pass and is a prominent example of the wall's historical and architectural value.
The site has hosted numerous world leaders and was designated as a National 5A tourist attraction in 2007. It is a significant cultural landmark representing the broader history of the Great Wall of China.
