This 72-meter-high Renaissance structure, built in 1574 from Hořice sandstone, serves as a significant historical landmark. The tower houses the Augustin bell, the second-largest bell in the Czech Republic, and a rare historical clock machine dating back to 1829.
The interior contains a multimedia information center and a unique 1:20 scale glass model of the tower. An astronomical clock is integrated into the building, which also hosts various exhibitions and interactive tours utilizing modern audio-visual technology.
The tower is open to the public, with an observation gallery offering panoramic views. The gallery provides visibility of the city as well as the Giant Mountains and the Orlické Mountains.
